Born to an affluent family and
raised in California, Jack is quintessential Beverly
Hills. Having graduated from UCLA with honors, and
possessing an entrepreneurial spirit, Jack decided
to forego a number of other job offers and instead,
take a position as an assistant at a domestic placement
agency with the intent of owning it. Ten months
later, Jack became the owner of the Elizabeth Rose
Agency.
Now,
eighteen years later, the Elizabeth Rose Agency
is prominently located on the Sunset Strip in West
Hollywood. With high profile clients like Tom Cruise,
Al Pacino, and Diana Ross, Jack works his command
post office that used to belong to Frank Sinatra.
Jack connects with both his clientele and the domestic
help that have come to need him.
Jack
takes the most pride in being a California boy who
loves his family, his friends and his motorcycles.
Jack is as comfortable visiting the homes of his
staff as he is attending black tie events with his
clients.
Julie
Swales
Hello
there! My name is Julie Swales and I am
the director of the child care division of the Elizabeth
Rose Agency, which I started 13 years ago. Before
working at Elizabeth Rose, I worked as a nanny in
the Los Angeles area and was heavily involved in
the Big Sister program in Southeast LA. After relocating
here from London, my sister and I founded the Y.E.S.
Foundation, working directly with the L.A.P.D. Jeopardy
group, a program for at-risk children and teens.
Simply said, I love kids. I believe this love, together
with my BA in Psychology and MA in Applied Psychology,
supports me in managing the sometimes tricky dynamics
of the child care industry.
What
is important to me: First, listening. How can I
help if I don’t hear you? Also, working with
fair and respectful clients, representing child
care professionals who love children, and providing
a sounding board for both nannies and families when
the “honeymoon” period between them
wanes. These things, plus a touch of whimsy magic,
are what I believe create and maintain wonderful
nanny/family connections with longevity as the primary
intention.
Amy
Giles
Hi!
I’m Amy Giles. I’ve been part
of the nanny division of the Elizabeth Rose Agency
for three years. I have a BA in Literature, and
completed a number of early childhood education
courses while getting my degree. I was previously
a nanny for ten years, working for a variety of
different parents, from everyday mom and dads to
high-profile celebrities. I grew up in Iowa, which
I believe gave me a strong Midwestern work ethic
(and a desire to move someplace warmer!). Because
of my history as a nanny and my experience at the
agency, I understand the needs of both nannies and
families and will do my best to help you find the
perfect match.
What
is important to me: Matchmaking at the speed of
light! When a family calls me, I do my best to FAX
them a good selection of candidates within an hour,
and to set up interviews at their convenience, frequently
even that same day. I want families to know that
they can count on me to thoroughly hear their needs
and respond to them as quickly as possible. Also,
I want our devoted nannies to know that I am here
to support them in their search for their ideal
job. A nanny recently told me that she thought I
would “fight to the death” for her—what
a recommendation!
